Balancing contemporary modernity with traditional aesthetics while prioritising sustainability was the challenge at hand. Our solution embraced modern methods of construction (MMC) and triple-glazed windows, achieving an impressive Irish Building Energy Rating (BER) of A1.
The house, boasting a modern interpretation of traditional vernacular architecture, utilised prefabricated panels of light gauge metal steel, ensuring both sustainability and durability. With a focus on eco-friendliness, the inclusion of a mechanical heat recovery system, external air source heat pump, and roof-mounted PV panels further enhanced energy efficiency. Throughout, a sleek black colour scheme underscored the home's modern aesthetic.
